Paper Towels
Ever wonder how many paper towels the average person uses at work a year? This photos shows just how many. If you combine this with all the paper towels you use at home and other places that is a considerable amount of waste. How much impact does this have on the environment? One ton of paper towels requires 17 trees and 20,000 gallons of water to produce. Everyday 3,000 tons of paper towel waste is produced. The average person uses 2,400 - 3,000 paper towels a year at work. So how can you avoid this? The use of hand dryers is one method. A second method would be to use a fast drying personal towel. These are becoming a popular alternative to paper towels and hand dryers. There are a number of options available to choose from. Their use is a truly a sustainable choice.
